Websites show mobile version even when desktop is checked as the preferred version

I have an ATT Lumia 920 running wp 8.1. I'm trying to access www.chase.com's desktop version but it always stubbornly shows the mobile version. I already have desktop checked as preferred in the IE settings. Please help!

I just tried it & had no problem displaying the full (desktop) site / logging in to my account / etc

There are some sites which will stubbornly display mobile site, even when explicitly requesting desktop site ...
I use UC Browser (set in desktop mode) for those sites.

You should try clearing your browser cache ...

With UC Browser, I'm able to see the desktop version. This will be a temporary fix until I figure out what's wrong with my IE and some websites. Thanks for the suggestion!
