That's a type of purse isn't it. Used in a sentence. Is that one of those supper stylish 'Geggie' purses?

I could be wrong. :)

Well palandri, i hope there was no form of cheating going on but you got it.

It's mouth. (Or as we would say in Ayrshire, Mooth)

May be used politely or rudely. “You’re talking nonsense, so just shut your geggie.”

Well done indeedy my friend.

Another word tomorrow morning.

Purse was close Dave, (keeping in his good books) :D

I'll probably never get another one right. I only know a few Scottish words. :D

I couldn't help but look it up! I can't stand to know that I'm living in ignorance, so I had to! I won't ruin it for others. I was nowhere close, though. I would've guessed something having to do with the wind.

Well i'm sure everyone will be cheating and looking them up, so just you post what you think the answer is Judge_Daniel.

If you don't, someone else will. :D

(Yes it does sound kinda like a windy word)

It means "be quiet" or just "quiet". I think it is kind of funny, though, because both shhh and wheesht are sounds that could represent wind.

Todays winner LOL. Yes you could be right with the 'windy' descriptions.

Used in a sentence, you might say..

You are just talking absolute rubbish, I think you better just wheesht. (Be quiet)

Another tomorrow. :)

No, i will leave that for your research project for today Big Supes. :)
(It's something much much worse than being a non believer) ;)

OK time to put you out of your misery Big Supes. ;)

Sassenach is a word used chiefly by the Scots to designate an Englishman.

It derives from the Scottish Gaelic Sasunnach meaning, originally, "Saxon", from the Latin "Saxones"; it was also formerly applied by Highlanders to (non-Gaelic-speaking) Lowlanders.

Today it is usually used in jest, as a (friendly) term of abuse. :D
