I was going to pickup my friend from Dehlon town. On way of Dehlon town I saw this train, and I clicked this photo.
this is my first entry and I've been meaning to join since this contest started!
this photo was taken 2 years ago with my Lumia 920.. and even with that time, it still shows how capable this phone is with taking beautiful shots! We were at the beach here and the patterns in the sand and the mini huts aligned to give me a beautiful composition.
Taken with my Lumia 920, and edited with fhotoroom on my phone.
Testing out a new lead climbing route (5.10+) in a new climbing gym around Chicago - the largest facility in the country. I flashed the route on my first try, but it was still scary as heck. Taken by one of my friends (who wasn't belaying me).
Photo taken at Prague during a short holiday. Taken with my Lumia 930 (handheld) and edited with fhotoroom. This Metro-Station had a stunning decor and architecture, so iot was a pleasure to shoot there in b/w and color.

I was walking around in my neighborhood in the afternoon, and took a look to the factory that is near. I decided to take some pictures to it, and with its surroundings. After some time I found the perfect angle to take the palms and the factory. And I just thought: what if this picture has an old-fashioned Black and White look? so I edited it in BLACK in my windows phone and decided to enter this contest!
This photo was taken in the evening through a closed shop front window in Galveston, Texas - the back lighting gives it a "Night Gallery" feel especially in B&W. Shot with my Lumia 1020 and used the "Black" app HP5 Ilford filter to give it a full tonal range.
Photo taken with Lumia 928
Cropped from the original file to eliminate a distracting light. Additional editing with Camera360 in which I applied the Lomo filter and then in Black to apply the GP3 100 emulator.
The picture was taken at a local coffee shop here in the city I live in (Tijuana, M?xico) where every Saturday there is a show, mostly theater, and that night, the two guys pictured were
presenting their play. The picture was shot before the show started, they were talking and having fun with us attending the show, they are best friends so they have a lot of fun with each other.
Somebody made a comment about them doing a sexy pose for a picture and this is what they gave. It was a fun night. Those guys are cool.
Excellent choice for the weekly contest. It's very tricky to know what photos will look good in B&W but it seems quite a few people on this thread have got it nailed.
I'm not sure if the following picture works or not but I like it. I shot it in total darkness on the 1020 with the help of the xenon flash. I think the shadows and texture work quite well:
