Contest photo:

Original photo was taken with my almost new Lumia 820 and Camera application with automatic settings in the late evening on 2013-07-04 during trip to Centre for Astronomy in Piwnice (Poland) which took place during international student conferences OPTO Meeting and IONS-14 in Torun.

Original image was edited in Photoshop by increasing brightness but it didn't help what can be seen in photo below (this photo isn't contest photo!).

Because of that I decided to change it to more artistic style - postcard-like one - with quite simple technique. To get the final image, I created several copies of original image and filtered each one with different high pass filter radius increasing its value from smallest for a top layer and largest for a bottom layer. In the end I changed blend mode to Overlay.

This is a view from my driveway, taken a few months ago on my Lumia 920 while walking down to the bus stop with my son. The morning light is great near my house and I've taken several pretty amazing shots at that time of day. This is just a automatic point and shoot photo with no editing.

Taken with Nokia Lumia 620, this view of "Saccharum spontaneum", popularly known as "kaash flower" in India, was taken from a speeding car near the India-Nepal border. Later, I enhanced the colour and sharpened the image (image was bit blurry) in Picasa Photo Editor.
Usually, I take photos with my DSLR, but when suddenly i chanced upon this spectacular view from the car window, the Nokia Camera Beta came handy.

Nokia Lumia 1020

A tree near University of Western Sydney. I was there to meet a friend and it was getting dark. This tree was looking beautiful so i took a picture.

Used Nokia Camera app and just applied auto fix.

In Valen?a, Bahia, Brasil, there is a man who is a p?fono, a pipe player. He reminds me of Pan, the nature god except he doesn't have goat legs or horns. I took this photo with my Lumia 920 that I brought with me to Brasil and edited it with 6tag to post on Instagram. This feels like the essence of the outdoors in Valen?a - trees, natural building techniques, and music in the air.
