What do you use NFC for on WP?

I've heard that the Isis payment system is coming to Windows Phone soon, so at least that will be on par with Android.

I've used it several times before, I had this Motorola wristband with NFC that I would program for various things. I couldn't find anything that made it practical for everyday use except turning Bluetooth on but I would absolutely love a "Bluetooth on" tag, "Bluetooth off" tag, and a "Directions to home" in my car. I'd likely use 2 out of the 3 every single day.

Can NFC do anything when it "contacts" with debit card..not only.. My college ID opens the entrance door if you swipe it..in other words it has the black line like debit/credit card..when I touch it on my L928 it make the "contact sound" but nothing happens.. Any thoughts about it?

Essentially most contactless proximity cards already use a form of NFC/RFID system. My university switched over to a contactless system that uses RFID technology. It has also adapted a contactless payment system. -where you can use your NFC card (student ID)/ or NFC capable phone to pay for food on campus and in the bookstore. Its extremely useful for those lazy college kids :) ....including myself.

Some businesses have started to move over to NFC payment systems already (Exxon Mobile Pass)...and if im not mistaken, a couple of fast food companies have started to implement contactless payment systems. However it won't be for another 5+ years before these systems become common here in the US. However these systems are WAY more common in Europe now.
