What is the best or proper way to make an image backup of a Surface Pro X

I tired a couple well regarded backup utilities. One failed spectularly with a Blue Screen VSS error the other rendered the device unbootable with Inaccessible Boot Device. now I'm being told to use DSIM for backups but IDK if that's a really good idea. The old Windows Seven image backup is there but for how long, might it be removed any time now???

This probably deserves a Daniel Rubino article if there's even a good way of doing it.

Were you using Easeus by any chance?

Try the Windows 7 backup option for now. Sure, it isn't the best, but working big name apps for the Surface Pro X are few and far between right now.
