What problems do you hope WP8 fixes in WP7?

Someone linked me to Windows Phone - Pastebin.com which shows all the flaws WP7 has compared to Android/iOS

My top needs I'd want as a normal user:
-Any MP3 can be used as a ringtone
-Volume control, so I don't get really loud text messages, but can still keep a loud alarm when I sleep
-Micro-SD card support
-Bluetooth connection with car

Your points are valid.

Since you're directing people to that Pastebin post, I need to note. While there are some valid points in the Pastebin post, I want to point out that there are also some invalid points. I am surprised he didn't add:

-Not being able to warp the Space/Time Continuum
-No remote control for the Mars Curiosity Rover

Out of your list the only thing that isn't available now or a question mark for 8 is alert volume customization.

Any MP3 can be used as a ringtone today. You just need to clip it. No reason for a ringtone to be 12MB and 7minutes long. Why focus on building that capability into an OS. That's dumb. I am sure Microsoft can add a tool that will auto-clip your MP3, but I bet it won't be the 30 seconds you want to hear.

There's an app for that on the iTunes store. Unfortunately, the medium you need to pay for it won't be invented for another 500 years.

If u search through the trazillion or so apps on the iTunes store, u might even see an app to chat with Stevy...

Tell him we all said Hi.

FYI: Bluetooth works with cars! if it doesn't work its probably the car..

when i sold Cellphones i had this problem with all phones , i told client to call their car dealer to find out witch phones was compatible with the car they had.

my WP connects to my car`s BT! ...:)

I want a quick camera like the iPhone, and I want the 16bit dac from the galaxy s3.

Other than that, in pretty happy with my wp7.

Enable text reflow in both IE and in any and all PDF reading functionality they add - lack of reflow is a huge weakness which makes WP7 useless in some key scenarios.

I want WiFi not to shut off whenever the screen goes off, I don't want a 3rd party app to do that.

That guy had way too much time on his hands yet didn't spend enough time with the phone.
The back button is janky.

That may be a Nokia issue rather than WP.

SD cards means I will be able fit lossless audio files on my phone, so playback of that should be fixed/added.

Top ones for me are related to using the phone for work:

- Alert tone customization (so I can use something that will wake when I'm on call)
- VPN support
- Encrypted mail support
- Delete multiple SMS messages with checks like in e-mail (for alert storms)

Personally I would also like them to open up Bluetooth access for developers so we can get programs that interface with Bluetooth devices (OBDII readers for example).

There are so few worries I have left that rumors haven't addressed. But a couple remain:

-Arrows on the keyboard so I can put that curser where I want without fighting the "tap" command.

-Quicker access to dialing options.

-A functional laser beam.

I am willing to compromise on the third option. A ninja-star shooter will be fine.

Some of the things I would like to see:

MUCH improved status bar / notification center

Being able to attach other files then just images in emails

HDMI out

Being able to have more then just one cell phone nr per contact

More advanced Office features, at least at the level of Office suites to Android/iOS

Being able to multi select files, rename photos and read EXIF info

Charging while off would also be nice.
