What should I buy?

A surface pro 3 or a cheaper 2 in one. I do some gaming, mostly older rts style, would like to be bale to play SOME mmos but mostly I just want something I can take around, was wondering if I should splurge on the sp3 (I want to so bad) or I'd be better off getting a cheaper 2 in 1

It depends on what do you think about the large screens, SP3 is a monster and if you have money go and get it, unfortunately it's not available officially here in Saudi Arabia.
+ why getting a cheap 2 in 1 while you're ready to pay alot on SP3, unless it's second hand use.

Well I don't have a ton of money, I'd probably have to buy a used model, which is why I wouldn't mind finding something nice in the 300-800 range

If it were me, not by a long shot.
(the Pro 3 also comes in more variants. having multiple processor and graphics loadouts whereas the Pro 2 just has storage capacity to differentiate it.)
