The first mobile phone I bought was the Nokia 7110. I chose it because it looked like the phone from "The Matrix". I used it until 2002, when I bought an iPAQ Wireless Pack that turned my Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC (Windows Mobile) into my first smartphone.

My first phone was a Motorola MicroTAC 5200 which I bought way back in 1994, when I got my first job. I also bought the extra capacity battery which probably made the phone about 7 or 8 cm thick, all in all, but on the other hand you got about 6 days stand-by time (as far as I recall). Those were the days.
