)) sorry 'bout that...but....i didn't get a SINGLE answer....aaaaa....one...and it's your question...i'm a little worried about using my phone as a PHONE instead of a media or some other device...i'm just curious...did you ever used this at least once? i see a lot of people complining about wallpapers...Cortana )) everyone with it's own 'problems', but this is just a basic feature(i suppose)...that brings me to the conclusion that i might have a problem with this 'new features'...don't get me wrong...i really like the notification center but there are some decisions made by the people working on this platform that make me wonder..."am i using this properly"....)) it's like a music player that plays the songs just how it want's to ) like a car with automatic gearbox and manual transmission....i have a part of my brain missig i guess ))
i thought this forum it's for helping one another...and if i can,i'll help too,i'm not looking for attention,number of posts...i would just want to find a solution to my problem....if this means to get warnings or be banned..or...something...maybe i shoud look elsewhere...for ex...i'll ask my grandfather...because when he saw for the first time a touch-screen display...he said it's the devil ))) LOL

I don't think you are going to find the setting you are looking for because there are no "all other notifications" anymore. Now you can control the sound of every single program through the action center.

So you have two options:

-Option 1: Adapt to the new system (which is what some of us are doing with our annoyances while still venting about it :grin and set the sound preference for each app through the action center.

-Option 2: Go back to WP8 and don't upgrade.

I no longer get the Facebook photo for a contact etc. Also, cannot delete a contact if they have only one phone entry, it dials them instead of opening their contact card, you have to call the number, go to history and then use the link to their contact card there.

And it no longer lists home addresses with deep links to mapping etc.

I might try a hard reset tomorrow and see if some of these small issues go away.

You can still get facebook photos for your contacts, you need to install the official facebook app. Then in People hub, choose add an account, select facebook at the bottom, you will get to a special page with the sync now button.

LOST MUSIC HUB!!!!! And no one seems to particularly care. Everyone seems very excited about some chick talking to them and doing for them what a few taps with your fingers will do know...how LAZY are we becoming. I would rather keep the ability to use the music software that I bought the phone for. don't know what music player you will use...and you will lose any background art you have put with files that are now played with xbox music hub. It is my understanding that this will be gone. Technically they are telling us that they can do ota updates for the music and video apps easier that way. Considering that we have only had 2 updates in the whole last year of wp8 I couldn't are less about updates...just let me keep what I have!!!!!!

I don't think people are lazy because they need to speak "find me the nearest gas station" because they don't want to tap while driving 45 mph.

Can no longer mute the phone simply by hitting the volume button as I think it has been since the start of WP7, can turn vibrate on/off but not set to vibrate only (maybe put ring settings in action centre) I used to use this when getting n/off public transport. A BIG NON THANKS TO THOSE COMPLAINING ABOUT SEPERATE VOLUME CONTROLS ALL THIS TIME!

Do the same thing you used to, but when you see the two volume bars there are buttons on the left to mute the volume. So one more click but same result.

But that doesn't mute headphones (that slider only comes up when they are plugged in). Further more if I am using headphones I cant mute notifications until I unplug them. Its a shoddy implementation. There should unequivocally be a global mute button.

Few more problems on WP 8.1.
1. Office should be updated because in that sd card option won't work at all and please provide an option for multiple selection of documents which will help while sending emails...
Upload to OneDrive is also not working...

I have lost vibration after 8.1 update and it was not fixed after 8.1 up1.
I can activate vibration only trough app called vibration massager or apps similar. Does anybody have this problem?

you need to update "touch" in the settings, after the 8.1 update 1, make sure all the other system apps are up to date.

touch in app store -> touch | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)
