Windows Central Question

I just returned my 950XL and rolled back to Lumia 830. Where it fell short:

1. The Tile display at high-res looks cheap - icons don't really fill the tile
2. Buttons on the side feel really cheap (plastic?) - not what I would have expected from Nokia hardware
3. Wireless charging doesn't work with current Nokia chargers
4. USB cable changed so doesn't work with existing
5. No double tap to wake - the iris thing is really frustrating (not unlike the fingerprint scanner) - just give us one-handed operation and a nice, secure pin.

Microsoft, take a look at the Lumia Icon - tap to wake, glance, nice camera and feels luxurious - and make it work on ATT LTE. Please. I'm running out of loyalty energy here.

Switching from Lumia Icon to Lumia 830 was like Lexus to VW...from Lumia 830 to 950XL was like VW to a cheap Audi-want-to-be-but-no-way-near.

Microsoft Marketing Team, are you reading this stuff?

This is not an official Microsoft site, we are just people interested in Microsoft's products. Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the 950 XL though. :(

And I reckon your number 3 and 4 are a bit spurious, if they hadn't have gone with more up to date systems people would have been much more upset.

What was your question by the way and if it was the bit about the marketing team, probably not.

Please note that the fine print when you purchased that 950XL stated that if you were not completely satisfied, then you must send it via priority mail to Rhapdog (that's me.) ;) This is also in the fine print should you decide to purchase a Surface Book. ;)

1. Matter of taste, really. The icons to me, are less in the way of my background image. It happens to be my preference.
2. Not Nokia hardware. Microsoft hardware. And Microsoft is just putting out phones that were initially designed by Nokia while they work on their own Surface type device, which has yet to be released. The buttons are made from the same material used for making bullet-proof glass, and is a good material to assure durability. They are more expensive than most common metals (such as aluminum or steel) per cubic inch, and certainly not "cheap."
3. The 950XL supports the Qi standard for wireless charging. Not sure why you are having issues. Prep for Lumia 950 & 950 XL: Wireless charging & what charger to get | Windows Central
4. It was widely advertised and widely known that it would be USB type C cables, not micro USB. The current stash of chargers you have for micro USB are on the way out, and are being put into obsolescence just like the mini USB. Welcome to the future.
5. Double tap to wake is supposed to be on the way, but there are issues Microsoft is still working out with the new OS.
