What's the difference between Storage Check and Storage Sense?

I have both on my phone. From what I read and understand, Storage Sense is the "evolution" of the old Storage Check, but why have both? Or am I wrong?

AGREE, why have both. Storage Sense works very well (more granular), except for one issue - Storage Check allowed Lumia's to store offline maps on an sdcard !

In your case a moot point - my Lumia 1520 has a 64Gb SDcard onboard.
