WhatsApp dead after updating to WP 8.1 update 1

I installed Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 today morning. Till last night my WhatsApp was working fine, After I updated to update 1, it has stopped working. When I open WhatsApp, it just displays the default WhatsApp background and nothing else. It stays stagnant, rest of the phone is working fine

yep, same here on my 920, i had to uninstall and re-install, which solved it, i didn't lose any data, only the messages that had come in during the time it was hanging, all previous content was still there
