I am using WhatsApp on nokia lumia 920. It is working fine, however I like to display my profile picture when I am chatting. I want my friends to see my picture as I am chatting to them. How do I change my profile or display picture on whatsapp? Any idea?

As far as I can tell, it is a metro thing. Something to mimic the standard SMS messaging app. I don't see any settings for what you are asking. I do see that if you were to look at your current conversation that it does show the photo of whoever your chatting with.

U go to Whatsapp, then settings, swipe to right - there u go - Profile. Now u change the picture and ur chat name

whatsapp seems to be the worse on the lumia phones. I am so disappointed. Who can I email to provide feedback so they can fix this for another update?
