WhatsApp not opening

Hey, I have problem with WhatsApp, the icon turned much darker than any other app and when I press the tile nothing happening, tried soft reset few times and nothing new. I don't want to delete the app right now because I don't want to lose all the conversation history.
What can I do to solve it?

I am having the same problem on my lumia 920 my whatsapp has gone dark on me so to speak. Would like to know why ?

I deleted and reinstall it and now it's works fine. Thanks for the help.
