Whatsapp is still in beta v2.10 so some bugs are going to be there till the final version 3.0 is not out. However since the update whatsapp has really improved performance wise. Just hope v3.0 comes out soon. I dont know the official date. And only windows 8 users will get that update and not Mango people (aam janta ). Lets hope the gdr2,gdr3 and blue update brings positive changes and gives more freedom to apps. Whatsapp 3.0 will be kick ***. Till then use WeChat 90% Whatsapp ppl are also on WeChat.

I'm having this issue...

Notification shows for example... "Laura sent you a message" when i touch the notification the app takes me to "John message", ...

^^ I have noticed this generally happens if Whats app is exited through Windows button and a chat window is open while exiting.

I noticed that messages not longer display the time in "ago" format, however last seen does. I don't know if this was changed in the last updates or has been like this for some time.

No. I don't know why whatsapp took the decision to backup locally instead of using skydrive. It's only good for reinstalling the app, but you can not hard reset or move to a different device without losing everything.

On android it does the same function. But you can move all those logs using file manager, or use third party apps to backup.

Anyone notice that it cannot load more than 500 (estimation) messages?

In my case, I have a conversation group.
After a long time didn't open whatsapp, the notification in the app shows that I have 512 unread messages in that conversation group.
So I tried to scroll up to view the old unread messages.
After at certain point of scrolling up, the app close by itself as if it cannot load the old message.

Anyone having this problem?

I have contacted Whatsapp and was told this is a known issue. They are going to fix it in future builds. It looks like the same issue also happens to Whatsapp on IPhone.

Hello both,

It really is an API issue. For some reason the default settings dont work on some cases and you have to set up manually. I did this in my Lumia 820 and it now works flawlessly.

I've got mine working after using Nokia Network Setup. T-Mobile Netherlands only provided the information to rename the APN 'internet'. After I renamed it I ran Network Setup and now it works perfect.

Is it possible to find how much data WhatsApp uses inside the app itself? Or am I better off waiting for Data Sense.

edit: Someone sent me a message at 8pm but I didn't receive any sort of toast notification for it. It was only when i went into our chat log did I see the messages appear. It was mentioned somewhere on here about some bug about notifications not appearing if you press a particular button somehow?
