WhatsApp SD Backup

Alright, so everytime I move files to my phone via file explorer, I've noticed a folder system. On my SD Card there's a folder titled 'WhatsApp' with a subfolder 'WinPhoneBackup'. I searched for a while in the app itself to see if there wad any option for SD backup, but there wasn't. I also enabled hidden and system files, but there was nothing there.

Just wondering if anyone's got this in action, if it's a useless folder, or if anyone thinks app data will be allowed to go to the SD card in 8.1?

It's been indicated that either apps will be allowed on SD cards or app data will be allowed on SD cards or both come WP8.1.

At this stage, as far as I know, SD cards are pretty locked down.

Darn, I was hoping it could be enabled. It's a pain after hard resets having no data... Thanks for that though!
