when I edit hi-res photos of lumia 1020 there is no difference

When i edit hi resolution photos of lumia 1020 on pc i see no diference at all in quality of image and zooming . The 5 MP image and the hiresolution Picture have the same quality, i zoom it edit it and i see no diferentes, am i doing something wrong , when i open the image in Nokia pro cam there i can see that i can zoom in futher then the 5 MP imagem but on pc i was expecting to see a real big diference i hope i can get some help thks

I think people need to know what editing tools you are using.

I personally will jokingly say it is because the oversampling works so well... but I don't think that is why.

More knowledgeable people than I will probably need to know what you are opening them in/etc however.
