My first WP was a Dell Venue Pro because of its vertical Slider and full QWERTZ Keyboard. It was a very good one until it crashed to the floor... But Dell had no interest in support and producing a successor... so my next one was a Lumia 925 until it cracked again and now I own a Lumia 930 but I still looking for a WP with Blackberry Keyboard ;)...

As a developer I've always had lots of devices around but here's a list of devices I've actually used as a daily driver

HP iPAQ hw6915 (Windows Mobile 5.x, does it count?)
HTC HD7
Lumia 800 (I actually got a few of these from Microsoft but I did buy the first)
Lumia 920 (from the 2012 Build conference)
Lumia 950 XL DS (still using it despite the random restarts)

If I include other WP devices I won at hackathons/events or bought for $30, it's about 25 WP devices

Samsung Omnia 7
Lumia 800 (best form factor ever!)
Lumia 920 (indestructible!)
Lumia 830
Lumia 950

The only I kept two years is the 920. And I bought the 830 mainly for micro sd support.
I bought the Lumia 950 because of the insider pack available in France. (continuum hub, wireless charger, 25€, leather back cover...)

Ok like Nino the first two weren't technically Windows phones but I started with a Compaq Ipaq (I forget the exact model) with a HUGE compact flash modem sticking out of it. Then a Casio 300 which I tethered using IR to my Motorola Timeport. Then the T-Mobile Dash (HTC Excalibur), HTC Touch Pro 2, HTC HD7 and now Lumia 640.
