I actually really want this phone. Not for the selfies, but because the 630 is not a worthy upgrade from the 520 and the 930 is like ?40 a month in the UK

Three better carry the 730

I agree with you that the 630 is not a worthy upgrade from the 520, and I believe the 730 will be a good phone to buy, and a real upgrade. However it might be better to wait for a new 8xx series phone, as that is Nokia's true mid-range phone.

I think the new 8xx could really help Microsoft if it can compete with phones like the Moto G for price and value.
16 Gb of on board service/microSD slot. 4G LTE compatibility. 720p screen. Quad core processor. Something to that effect.

I was interested, until I saw it looked like a lumia 920, had a FWVGA screen, and costed ?259.

I think so too. However I think the phone's rear camera should've been 8MP at least.

PD: I still don't understand how the 630/635 is that superior over the 530.

From the blogs; only two U.S. carriers are going to be stocking this at beginning: Verizon and AT&T! So no; I not going to be buying it since I don't use neither of these U.S. carriers. I probably go back to the iPhone 6 when the unlock version comes out from Apple - 90-120 days after it is in the store like last time.

Where did you see this? I'm surprised Verizon would have the 730.

PD: I still don't understand how the 630/635 is that superior over the 530.

It has more builtin storage, and the 635 supports 4G.

If it is priced at $240, is available on T-Mobile, and has a 720p screen then I might buy it. Although the leaked specs for the 830 sound amazing (Especially the 20 MP camera) and I think it might come with a Snapdragon 800 instead of a 400. It depends on the 830 and iPhone 6.
