Two years ago I took a dive into the Caribbean with my 950 in my pocket - a beautiful, long underwater swim, then, uh oh! Got out and had a laugh w/ the kitchen crew who hooked me up with a cup of rice and a baggie. Ordered a replacement phone which awaited me upon return, and used that one for the next year and a half until it started reboot issues. A new battery fixed it for a while, but a few months ago it just wasn't right. So I pulled out the original one and, lo, it worked, and beautifully!
Last December I dropped it one too many times (it's a survivor!) and cracked the screen. But an easy switch of screens w/ the replacement phone and it's back to perfect again.
Love this phone: a beast, reliable, does everything I need and takes magnificent pictures.
I ordered an Idol 4s just because, but it's sitting in the desk until I really need it.
So you can count me in the on the "pry it from my cold dead hands" school of WMP holdouts.

I still use my Lumia 950 and I love it! Great Specs, great camera, great Display, USB-C 3.1, I can change the battery, SD-Card and the backcover. I've bought some from Mozo with Wood and Leather, and the phone looks great. The App-Gap is not really a problem for me, as long car2go, Handyparken (parking fee app for Vienna/Austria), WhatsApp and Spotify exist on the WM10 platform. Office Apps from MS are well supportet, and this I needed most.

I bought the HP Elite when it was certified by Verizon to replace my 735.I am hoping it will last until something better than Android comes along. I've had a couple of Android phones- beautiful screens, lousy user experience. Every one had a different layout. I don't think 'crazies' is an appropriate tag for those of us who use the tools we prefer.

keep going back to my 950xl. pictures are amazing so use for travelling. and then there's something unexplainable that just draws me back - maybe the build quality, the look and feel, the crisp ms fonts. who know? but I haven't really had this feeling from any other phone.

Still using my 930. Reliable, sturdy phone, most other people I know in the same job have broken screens, cases etc, using inferior build quality like Apple devices.

Amazing camera, well lens all scratched now which will be one of the main reasons to switch. Does have annoying wifi issue (have to reboot to get it to connect) which I think is hardware related.

win10 mobile was starting to get really useful, great integration with pc, loved the notifications across devices and how it knew if i had already read emails already when switching devices.

Will probably get nokia 6 2018 when it comes out in the UK. First one I've seen that sounds like what I need and is actually an upgrade.

Hi, I am from Serbia and will always use Lumia 640XL LTE, because it is a fabulous fablet. you connect it with Miracast on TV and you have a computer. Wonderfully. A hate Android (Google) because it makes their customers to buy new phones with a more powerful CPU, GPU, RAM and SSD, because as it is necessary for their application, what nonsense.
All Lumie are working on very modest hardware solutions and that's very good, which I think is the goal of portable devices. Windows 10 mobile is a great platform for smart people who are still using their brain. Microsoft has just lost the battle for bad marketing .. -
My wife has Lumia 640 Lte, one son has Lumia 535, the second son uses Lumia 550 ....
And we're all in our network and we're all pretty happy.

I am still using my Lumia 650 that I bought 2 years ago and I have promised to myself that I will be using it until I finish high school or until it dies on me. I already broke the front glass a year ago but I hope that it will hold on... My parents still use Lumia 635s - mom got hers from me when I got L650 but dad was the first one who got a Lumia (635) for work and got me excited.

I use my 950XL and occasionally my Lumia 830 because, more than anything else, the phones work. They work quite well. I got all the apps I need, those which I don't usually have a reliable website.

My usual phone changing cycle is bi-yearly, or longer if I can make the phone last.

I have been tempted to switch, but after using something like Windows Mobile on a 950XL, (i) I personally find android and iOS design to be lacking, in terms of UI and appearance both (Luckily on android there are many ways to fix that) (ii) the 950XL's display, camera and generally the hardware is really good.

My main criteria when switching in the near future will mostly likely come down to having a capable camera on my phone. I know in terms of software newer phone cameras out-perform the 950XL, but I've gotten used to being able to pixel peep on my pictures, and very few phone camera sensors are as big as the 950XL (Sony has some?).

So yeah, I decided to stick to the windows mobile out of appreciation and love for the platform, that and the Nokia designed hardware, but honestly it covers all my needs and the day that becomes a problem, I'll change. But I think by then we'll know more about Microsoft's not-mobile plans

I'm still using my 950XL and plan to continue to do so.

The reasons:
- It still does what I need it to do. While the lack of apps can be frustrating at times I can do the things I need to be able to do
- I really like the ecosystem of WP10.
- I hate throwing away things that still work

So, I'm sticking with my windows phone.

Cheers

Ken

I used to be active user having had 520, 820, 920 spending some quality time with 800, 535, 630, 640/xl, 720, and even getting my hands from time to time on 830, 930 or 1520. Today wp's are long gone, sold or broken. I'm carrying OP2, only my mum is still carrying 640XL and mumbling about lack of apps, but mostly about it being unstable: gliching, crashing, lagging or not loading content properly. I installed w10m on that phone but it still didn't improve much. Same could be said about other 640xl owned by close family. Constant various quirks and problems all of which I often try to fix. It's strange because nokia once was really relyable, but these phones (mostly later wp's) are prone to develop multiple problems after few years of usage. I find it very sad to see what has become of once very attractive and promising platform... Hardware quality is an issue to. :(

I still use my Lumia 950XL. My wife still uses her Lumia 950. My mother still uses an old Lumia 1020 of mine. And I have transferred to my father my very old HTC Radar with Windows Phone 7.8.
I'm still holding to my Lumia 950 XL because of the Live Tiles and because of the deep integration between my phone and my ultrabook running Windows 10.
But I have almost 750 EUR waiting in my Vodafone account which I have to use until May, 2018 or I will lose them. I'm thinking of buying myself a Samsung Galaxy S9+.

Joined Windows phone with a Lumia 930, updated to a Lumia 950 & it's still my current daily driver. I'm waiting to see the official Samsung Galaxy S9 & Nokia 9 info at MWC before i make the jump to Android. Also waiting to see what Sony has ready in its Xperia line up for MWC.

Great deal

Sometimes I wish I had never entered the W10M ecosystem because it spoiled my iOS experience. Although my iPhone SE works perfectly in my mostly Apple household, I keep going back to my Lumia 950xl. The UX, to me, is more desirable and convenient to use. It's easy, powerful and yes EASY. Livetiles and the app list on the side are a stroke of genius. Sometimes iOS is still a riddle to me. To know that MS had something that good, is still mindboggling for a macOS/iOS (+ a sprinkle of BB10) guy for the past 20 years.

I especially like the old Silverlight apps more than the new UWP ones. On a handheld used with one hand they are far superior to use than anything else. Those wonderful gestures and the convenient (...)-menu on the bottom makes them just perfect. It's a pity. And as nice (really nice) some of the Android devices are, that OS somehow is not meant for me.

i think we should direct our thinking to another point, these phones were all great 3 years ago but nowadays hardware especially on Android flagships delivers tremendous performance in daily tasks for e.g when i switched from Lumia 730 to Huawei p10 i suffered from usability in early days because windows on mobiles is by far the easiest and the nicest OS but in that old hardware WIN10M was giving some hard times especially in multi tasking and battery all that became history on my new Huawei p10 because it runs kiren processor like snapdragon 825 and 4 gigs of ram so all things are snappy and the battery is really great plus that ability to super charge.
so what i meant by new direction is to try to make a window 10 mobile ROM for most of Android flagships outthere it's sounds a bit difficult but it possible cause xiaomi have done it before in there MI4 and it worked really well so imagine W10M being flashed on one plus 5 or lg v30
I'm not playing around with OSs and i don't have much knowledge about them but I'm sure there are people out there could pull this up! and if it happened it would be great
