Who's finally upgrading - WP7.8/5 to WP8.1?

I've had my Nokia Lumia 900 for almost two years and it's contract is finally about to be over this month! Who else is finally going to be upgrading from Windows Phone 7?!

My contract ends on the 15th. I'm planning/hoping that the green 1520 will come late April or early May with WP8.1 so I can upgrade to it. I can't wait to be overwhelmed with all the awesome new features I've missed in WP8 and the newer features in WP8.1!

Cool - wasn't the Titan the first Windows Phone Phablet?
Edit - I forgot - It was just a big phone at the time it was new, technically not a phablet today.

the Titan is like normal size now lol, heck maybe considered a little small lol.

I've been out of contract for awhile, went from an LG Optimus 7, to a Lumia 710. Would have kept going with the Optimus 7 had it not for the device crapping the bed on me during the first year. Ill be looking for the Lumia 930. I don't think I can wait any longer lol.

I'm also eligible for an upgrade. My 900 contract is over. I already got a 920 via Marketplace Forums on WPCentral.

I'd like to get a 930, but I don't think it'll be available for awhile, so I'll either wait for the 930 or something else that arrives this summer or fall. In the meantime, I'll run 8.1 on my 920 when it's available.

Well they did say at Build that new WP8.1 phones would be coming out near the end of April, so it might available soon.

I almost jumped onto the 1020 myself but I just couldn't get over the fact it used the ancient snapdragon S4 dual core processor.

Now that the developer preview is out today, I think it's time to start this thread back up again! Who else is planning on getting a new WP8 phone to get 8.1?! I might be this weekend - I'll be getting the black 1520 (green coming too late :unhappy to replace my Lumia 900!

As a previous WP7.8 (Lumia 900) owner that moved to WP8 (Lumia 521) last year, I can say you will be very happy. It's really a great OS.

However... if you use your Lumia 900 a lot for music, you will actually be really disappointed with how WP8.1 handles music. Paradoxically enough, the music experience is much better in WP7.8. I don't understand how MS could mess this part up so badly.

Still worth the upgrade though.

I actually barely ever listen to music, so that shouldn't be much of an issue at all for me. Thanks for the warning though!

wp 8.1 is not final version yet, lots of bugs are expected..

For all intents and purposes this is the final version. As much as any software is final, of course. It's the one that will more or less go out in the new phones.
