Who's getting the 640XL

For the price, I think the XL will be my next phone. My 1520 has the dreaded touch/scroll issue. After a year dealing with it I got an iPhone 6+. It's a very nice phone, and I like the frequency of app updates. But I am missing WP, and I have always preferred WP to iOS.

I really need this phone to come out so it can hold me over until Windows 10 has a flagship device with a 5.5"+ screen. I have had the 1520, One M8, 830, and for some reason ended up with a 635... I love my 635, I just need a bigger screen, better camera, and a front-facing camera. Sounds just like a 640 XL to me. haha

I'll be getting one for sure (two actually; one 640 and one 640 XL). I'm in search for a worthy replacement for my aging 820 and my mom's 920. I find this one to be the best choice of all other WP phones. Even my mom wants one (the cyan colored 640 looks really flashy). It's not yet released in Malaysia though, so I'll just wait then.

I am definitely going to get the XL to replace my 925. I have been trying to use the new Moto E LTE for the past couple of weeks but I just can't tolerate such a small screen anymore. Plus the fact that the Android OS is such a clunker compared to Windows phone OS. I am hoping that T-Mobile will offer the 640 XL along with the standard 640. If not I will just buy an unlocked version online. Hopefully through Amazon.

Just looked at the Camera Specs of Lumia 640XL and Lumia 920 on Microsoft site. I am sure Lumia 640XL is going to give every one a great photography experience.

They both have similar camera with Sensor Size of 1/3 inch and f Number of f/2.0. Low light photography will be very good on Lumia 640XL.

I am on AT&T and currently have a Lumia 635 and HTC One (M8). Although both are fine devices, I really want a larger screen and better camera than what I currently have. The Lumia 640 XL appears to be super compelling and the highest quality 6-series device yet. I pre-ordered a Black 640 XL LTE from Expansys USA but will be keeping my eye out for a Cyan version. (Expansys USA does not yet list a release date or price, but I am hoping it is one of the first to start shipping it.)

Lumia 635 vs 640 XL - the 640 XL has a larger screen with an oleophobic coating and much better cameras (635 doesn't have a front facing camera at all)

HTC One (M8) vs 640 XL - the 640 XL has a larger screen and a much better rear-facing camera (likely due more to Lumia software and not necessary a much better sensor, but I have faith the sensor is better as well) and I also feel the HTC One (M8) screen is just too sensitive (not the same way Lumia screens feel)

It's not preview but still has Carl Zeiss optics technology inside only high end Lumias like 930 and 1520 have them not to mention 920 the former flagship

XL LTE on order in France from Amazon for ?249. If the market price drops at release, they will pass on the price drop to me too.

The XL LTE is not available in Switzerland. They have only released the 3G version there. Usually electronics is cheaper in Switzerland than the rest of Europe.

I want the dual sim LTE because I work & socialise in Geneva, but live in France. Now I can go from carrying 2 phones to one. And enjoy LTE where it's available.

Moving from a iPhone 4S and a Lumia 920. This is an interim phone until Microsoft releases a high end 6" device.
