Why am I getting this error code 8018830f on my Lumia 520?

Error code 8018830f on Lumia 520

Hi,

The Lumia Denim update for India has been released about a week ago. I have tried to update my wife's phone for several times, but the error message, the update was downloaded but couldn't be opened (8018830f), shows up all the time. I have tried restarting the phone, changed region and language (selected language was English United Kingdom, changed to English India). I searched MS website for info, but no real cause or remedy that I can find. I haven't tried a hard reset as I am not sure if it will resolve the issue and it will take so much time bringing the phone back in its original shape again after a hard reset. Is there anyone who has the same problem, please suggest a resolution.

Try this answer... Error 8018830F on Lumia 920? - Microsoft Community It is close to the same steps you did. Follow these in order.

And today is day 3 for Denim release... It may just seem like a week you have been struggling with it. :winktongue:

Same problem with my Lumia 520 I think we will have to till MS solves the problem.... Remember don't rest the phone it won't help

This one I tried but not working. Again the same error. Better wait till MS finds a solution for this.

visit microsoft website for the errors .. these errors due to accessing unknown network, signal problem and authentication problems
