Why am I unable to pin Whatsapp onto my start screen?

whatsapp cannot be pinned on start screen

why is whatsapp and other messaging apps cant be pinned or seen on the start screen of windows phone `10 TP build 10136, has anyone experienced it and a possible solution?

This is because it is in a folder on your homescreen, but the folder disappeared when updating from 8.1->10?!
Same here. Uninstalling and downloading it again solved it BUT whatsapp is not running in background at all on my 830
No idea on this...it's not even in the list of background apps...

and it crashes randomly so are some other apps too, very inconveniencing

You can try creating another folder on the start screen with other apps, that will sometimes make the hidden folder reappear and then you can use it again normally.

Whatsapp started working after re-installing it two times from the old store...

Crashes also happen in other apps. I've a feeling it has got something todo with the keyboard (suggestions) itself.
