Why can i not select certain apps in the Windows App Store on my 8.1 Laptop or Surface RT?

On both devices I can select certain apps to read their info but others won't even open. All I get is a box around the app. I am able to make other selections in the store and even other apps.
Example: I was looking at Battery status apps for the Surface RT and couldn't select a single one.

I've noticed this bug as well, the only way to get it working again is to close the store and re open it.
