why can't other phones see my number when I call them I have a lumia 925

When I phone someone who does not know me instead of my number coming up on their phone it just says private.
How do I make my number show up on their phone.

Go to settings and swipe over to applications and click on phone. There's a drop down box for 'Show my caller ID to' - it may currently be set for 'My Contacts.' Change that to everyone if you want other people to know your number when you call.
