I just wanted a cheap device that didn't lag. I've had my 620 for 6 months now. Still waiting for a TRUE successor to upgrade to.

Company politics, wp8 or IOS for accessing the, exchange server.. So I have the wp8 for phone, ipad2 as tablet (bbc, netflix and vpn/dns for us/uk content) my old sgs3 with data simcard for playing netflix(miracast), YouTube, viaplay etc on the big screen at home and for fitness training .

In short android can do anything I want for my smartphone, besides the company politics.. Wp8 can do most, but lack of vpn, apps and dictionary errors , I would gladly use android if I could..

Started out just for the camera. #928. Then the whole experience was just butter. The only thing I still miss from android is swype which we are getting in 8.1!!! Very happy with wp8 even with its shortcomings. It does everything I need it to do

I had numerous iPhones for a number of years, and wanted to try other phones. Android at the time wasn't smooth enough for me, and I was thinking about getting a WP8 device. I was hesitant at first until the AT&T "Buy one get one free" offer for the Lumia 920 came about. My younger brother persuaded me to get it and honestly I was surprised about the fluidity and beauty the Lumia 920. There were a few issues I had with it (custom tones, separate volume controls), but these weren't deal breakers for me.

Thinking about that purchase now, I'm pretty satisfied that I did. I like the WP8 environment and I'm excited to see 8.1!

My journey started with a Phillips Nino Windows CE device, my first cellphone was a Nokia candybar with snake. The first combo that fully did what a smartphone could was my HP iPaq 2215 Bluetooth tethered to a Sony Ericsson T610. First single device smartphone was a T-Mobile MDA and T-Mobile SDA. Both running Windows Mobile one touch the other not. First Windows Phone was a prototype LG, first of my own HTC HD7.

Basically... I just say that the wp8 ui is by far the most beautiful and modern ui on the market, many of the apps share this beautiful ui and functionality with the phone... It's really not hard to see why WP has such a huge fan base. Just look at the switch off screen and the loading animation... You won't find anything like it.
