Why do my pictures disappear after a few hours or so after viewing them MICROSOFT LUMIA 640 XL ?

MICROSOFT LUMIA 640 XL PROBLEMS

Any picture i take, download, receive from anyone via camera, whatsap, screenshot etc can only be viewed for a while and then it just goes blank square and a message saying

" can`t get picture. You can try again later."

the pictures never appear and just show a blank square where the image used to be, i am saving to a 128 gb sd card and i re-formatted that and still no change, everything else saves,

don't know what the problem is

Microsoft says the phone can support up to 128GB SD cards but I don't think so.... I bought three 32GB SD cards and the same thing happened to me, Pictures, music files and anything I put into the 32GB SD Card will get corrupted, not until I bought a 16GB Card before I was able to have a proper function of the SD Card.

Where did you purchase these cards? If they were from ebay they might be counterfeit.

It's best to order from a reputable store such as Amazon.com (actually sold by Amazon, not a 3rd party reseller). Fake SD cards are very prevalent on ebay.

as mentioned, Amazon is a good place to buy SDCards. I've purchased 4 of these for our two 640 and two 640XLs when they were on sale. They work perfectly fine.
