Why doesn't the camera on my Lumia 920 work?

why is my camera in lumia 920 doesnt work??

my camera used to work fine but after cyan update and some app updates when i press the camera button it goes to home screen..i tried soft reset hard reset, nothing worked...i didnt drop the phone, no water no nothing...

Did you try another camera app? Did you check if there was an update for the app you now use?Did you do a soft reset?

any app that has to do with the camera doesnt work...i made soft and hard reset...i also reset it with the recovery tool...again nothing

So the camera button does not work? Or also if you start the camera app by pushing the app tile?

also the app....i have this issue after an update...i want to downgrade from cyan but my recovery tool only gives me the cyan...im sure its a software glitch but i dont know how to fix it

Have you looked under "Settings" and the camera settings in there "swipe to the side one time" which camera app is default and that you may have to re select the default app?

Can it maybe also be related to some apps you installed after the OS update?

i just update them...if the problem was from apps after the hard reset the camera sould work

no...i just put my email back and i didnt put any new apps until i fix the problem....i also have a second 920 that works fine and a 520 with denim update, also works fine

Do you know the Nokia Care Suite? With this tool you can put back an older (before Cyan) ROM
I do not really know how it works but try to google it.

i tried a similar one..its called lumia software recovery tool installer but didnt make the trick...i ll try also the nokia care suit and i ll give you feedback

Sorry than I also do not know what to do or has your phone still warranty. In some countries it is 2 years. You can check with the app Lumia Help+Tips an/or the store where you bought it.
