Why don't all my pictures upload to Onedrive?

I have an iPhone 7 and have the OneDrive app set to automatically upload photos to OneDrive.

Some pictures upload but not all. It is close impossible to determine which ones are uploaded and which are missing.

Is there anything I can do to get the unloaded pictures to upload without having to scroll through each one trying to identify which have already loaded and which still need to load and then manually selecting the ones that have not yet loaded.

Are the other pictures somehow being uploaded somewhere else, like iCloud, instead?
