Windows 10 and csv files

After upgrading to Windows 10, csv files are no longer opening correctly in excel. Before upgrading the data would display correctly in columns. Since the upgrade the data displays all in one line instead of being in columns. Can anyone tell me what I need to change? Many thanks

Re: Windows 10 and csv files

Just had exactly the same issue. Something during the windows 10 upgrade set the List Separator value to a " ; " instead of a comma.

To change
- Settings - Time & Language
- Additional date, time & regional setting (at the bottom
-change date, time or number formats
- Additional settings ... (Button)

Change the List Separator from the semi colon to a comma.
