Why is Age of empires running slow on my lumia?

I just got a lumia 1020. im no stranger to WP ive been using a WP for years. Age of Empires is my favorite game and it ran perfectly on my Lumia 635. but my 1020 is slow and choppy. WHY? my 1020 runs Minecraft just fine
