Why isn't my 2 year old Surface RT, power cord light not showing?

2 year old Surface RT, power cord light not showing.

Charger plugged in to power socket but no light showing and battery charge too low to boot up. Fuse in plug OK. Not sure the conecting pins are good.

I would try another charger first. (making sure wall plug works)

OR, if you can, try another Surface.
