Why won't EZ mirror connect?

EZCast

I have now been able to connect my computer to the dongle. But EZmirror will not connect. Via the EZCast app on the phone there is no device listed ( ie not seen).
Seriously thinking of suing EZCast for it not being EZ at all!!
Has anyone got one of these things working?
ANy tips?

Unfortunately not. But I was looking into purchasing a Miracast device myself and did quite some research beforehand. I stumbled across many discussions about EZCast and how it doesn't work properly and/or reliable. The most recommended devices I found where the Netgear PTV3000 and the Microsoft HD-10. I went for the latter, since it appeared to be less laggy then the Netgear device.

I have the Microsoft hd-10 and it's "EZ" to use. Just hook up the hd-10 to your tv, tap the NFC coaster from the hd-10, project screen and VIOL?! You're mirroring your phone on your tv

I have an android tv box running kitkat. Also it has Miracast it is not connecting to my l1520. It sems to me that Microsoft and Google both claim to use the miracast standart but they dont?want it to be compatible. At least one of the companies have Miracast not implemented correctly.

Microsoft HD-10 for lumia phones is the only way, unless you have a smart tv

Not entirely true, sorry. I can't tell if it should work with the Android TV Box, even though it should, if it's really a Miracast device, the 1520 is working fine with devices like the Netgear PTV3000. So the HD-10 isn't the only Miracast device Lumias can connect to.
