Why won't my Lumia 1020 Bluetooth connect to my Buick?

Lumina 1020 bluetooth will not connect to my Buick

Dealership says it's a Windows issue. Apple & Android devices connect easily. Is there a fix or do I buy an Apple phone?

I have not used a GM radio with my radio, but have paired my Windows Phones with several aftermarket car radios and bluetooth speakers and whatnot. It sounds to me like the dealer is using Windows as an excuse.

Does the phone not pair? Does it pair but not accept calls? Is it just for telephone but not for A2DP audio streaming?

Year and model would help.

No problem at all connecting our 1020s to my wife's 2014 Enclave. Music, voice-activated dialing, Cortana even answers and replies to text messages.

I fear your dealer is uninformed. Next time you're in for service, ask them to "check whether any software updates are available...for my car" (I had to LOL the first time I said this out loud, never thought it was the sort of thing I would ever hear anyone say)

I use an Icon and it connects to my Lacrosse without problems. Cortana still works as expected.
