Why won't Windows 10 (Version 1703 Build 15063.413) recognize external monitors?

The Windows 10 update (build 15062.413) just completed on my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. Now my computer won't recognize the external monitors (Dell p2210) that I've been using prior to this update. Also, I cannot change the resolution of the laptop display. Any suggestions on how to get back to pre-update conditions?

Manually download and install vide driver: intel, amd or nvidia, depending on your card.
