Is it with everyone that when there screen times out their Wi-Fi gets turned off? cause I only have it totally on when it is plugged into a wall I find it annoying, I want to get notifications right away not when I decide to touch the power button.
I am wondering when the phone isn't plugged in and I have the 8107 update.Since 8107 WiFi no longer disconnects in standby when plugged in/charging or when transmitting data.

It's less of a "Mango bug" and more of a "phone bug."Well there is still the Mango OS bug that prevents the phone from using the WiFi after you wake the device from sleep. It will turn it on, but it will still use the data connection instead of hte WiFi. I think it's more important they fix that bug before they worry about adding new features, since it makes the phone useless if you live in a low speed/coverage area you're constantly going in and out of settings to toggle the wifi on everytime your screen turns off.
You can, plug it in to the power and the wifi stays on.IMO this has to be fixed ASAP! I think this is the biggest flaw in WP (for me anyway). I usually like to turn off data connection when I have wifi around at home and at university, and that's like 95% of my day, but with WP I can't do this, and I have to stay connected just to get my whatsapp messages.
I wish that the phone could connect to wifi while the screen is off, that way I can cancel my data plan and save some money![]()
