I wanted to double check, but I think the smallest Verizon Window 8 phones are the Nokia 822 or the Samsung ATIV Odyssey? Would there be anything coming out soon on Verizon that would be similar in size but newer? Between the Nokia 822 and the Odyssey, would there be any big reasons to pick one over the other from a support stand point? The most important feature to her would be the Camera. Thanks

She'd love the Lumia 822, especially if it's updated to 8.1 via the developer preview. She would have 16GB of internal storage and all her apps could be moved onto an SD card, which is pretty sweet. Also, Nokia has a much better build quality.

I would go to the 822 if the icon is really to big for her. I'm a woman with smaller hands and love the icon :). But if the camera and size are determining factors she can't go wrong with the 822 :)

I have never heard of it before but looks interesting after seeing it. It looks like it is a feature phone though and I doubt it will be available to use with Verizon.

I never heard of a 220 either because it only goes as low as 520 with the current generation

It looks like the Nokia 220 is a feature phone that has access to Microsoft ecosystem? Not sure if it will be available in the US from the looks of what I found though.

the 220 isn't in the running here if its what I think it is.
Forget that, I'm sure it was a typo unless I'm missing something.

Anyways, the 822 and HTC 8X are my votes for a smaller VZW phone. Kinda a shame you don't see as much fancy, yet small phones these days.

Nokia 220 is not a smartphone. The smallest WP phones are Lumia 620 (3.8") and Lumia 520/525 (4"). Though I know nothing about compatibility with Verizon frequency bands.

For Verizon, it is not about frequency bands. Verizon is a CDMA carrier. For a phone to work on Verizon, it MUST (1) support CDMA for voice and SMS (2) branded as Verizon phones. Basically, you can only use a phone with Verizon that is offered by Verizon.
