WiFi hotspot priority and BT Openworld connection

First of all, isn't there any way to give priority to particular WiFi SSIDs? Sometimes my phone connects to BT Openworld hotspots when I have a saved connection for the location.

Also, as a British Telecom broadband customer, I have free unlimited access to BT Openworld and BT FON hotspots, which are all over the place, but logging into them is a bit of a pain. Isn't there an app or something which can do it automatically?
