will wp8.1 solve temp files/other storage problem?

Exactly man u cannot clean temporary files unless hard reset nd wasting your WiFi by installing all apps from scratch.

You people won't be happy until you have 0 GB storage. The Other storage "problem" has significantly improved since the Update 3.

it's all about how you use your phone. Same thing I tell people who complain about battery problems. If you can't put your phone down, how do you expect the battery to last?
If you keep installing apps and creating app data, where do you want this data to be stored?

I'm sure if Microsoft just creates a category for everything saved in other storage, and totally remove "other storage", people will finally shut up.

They won't have more space. But they will shut up. It's a mind block to the words "Other Storage"

Atleast they should allow us to backup our apps to sd card like android so that we can install afterwards instead of downloading each nd every apps by exhausting our data or WiFi limit.

That's like my friend who tells me her S4 does not lag.

It's not that it doesn't lag, it's just that she has gotten so accustomed to it.

accustomed?? android yes all of them lag within a few months, windows phone and ios never lag
i own every ipad right from 2 to 5 and a few itouches and none of them lag
i have two 720s and an 820 and they never lag
i have a nexus 7,a note 1 ,note 2 and a few lenovo tablets here and there and only my droids lag
not to mention androids terrible SD card folder system,its so cluttered and u feel scared to delete files incase ur apps stop working
If u really think ios lags,id just laugh, slower than wp8 yes but lags never,max to max app crashes and the appstore which is slow

not really,it varies from phone to phone,my max is 1gb on all 3 phones touch wood

Guess all are really happy with 2-3 gb space consumed by temp files.good for u people.
"its coz u hold it wrong, its not a bug its a feature" used to be slogans of ifans. Good that its gaining a wider acceptance.
Anyways I hope there will be some solution for this in 8.1.

Ya all are happy with limited storage in device.so let's leave this issues to the dust.anyway ms has atleast got away with this.if then people can ignore the apps availability issue then wp will rule the world.

Try out the "Storage Cleaner" app. It purposefully fills what free space you happen to have, thus forcing the OS to remove unpacked xaps, pending uploads, and probably lots of log data. I began to use this more than anything when I need to recover space.

wow man just wow, happy with limited storage??pls refer to my above comment... pls see the changelog of wp8.1 and tell me if u see storage sense and Install App to SD which imho is a great addition
as for app availability , it already has a large majority of proper popular apps such as FB which is a pain on every other platform except wp8(it is slow on ios as well) plus its fairly new platform which is still getting major updates and is smooth

I just tried that app, and to be honest it looks like it does nothing more than fill up any renaming space with "dummy files" for me to delete when it's done.

Hmm in android u can clear those data.atleast u need not download all apps once u backup it to sd card.in wp backup means downloading all apps after a hard reset.
