Window Phone Store wrong country on HTC 8X: how do I fix?

I have a HTC 8X
my windows store has changed regions to another country
how do I reset it back
to my country region store
my phone under settings shows my current country

Go to Settings > Language+region and then select Country/Region. Restart the phone to apply the changes.

The phone is correctly showing
my current location
BUT
when I go to the app store to install an app it
takes me to a different country store as my store
that is what I want to change
