Windows Central Question

Windows 10 did an update on my computer last night it took VERY long to do. Now everything looks way too large I'm having trouble seeing somethings on the screen.

I tried to adjust the computer's resolution but Windows won't let me. The resolution is set on 1920 X 1080 which Windows says is recommended. Whenever I try to change it returns to 1920 X 1080. Help please.

Naturally, I got an error message that said that the system restore feature was turned off. There are no restore points to go back to. Don't look at me. I never changed anything. Any ideas? There has to be a way to change the resolution. BTW they took away my desktop pictures and intalled more Mircosoft program on my toolbar. Is a Chromebook practle?

does it revert to 1080p immediately after you change or after a shutdown?

What about changing scaling in settings >display >scaling? Make it smaller
