windows 10 consuming data limitlessly

Its lumia 640xl. Yet it consumed like 300mb from 2 hours with out any use of it. No updates going and no app is updating. How can I stop this without running back to windows 8.1. Cheers.

The first thing I'd try is rebooting the phone if you notice it happening. It could be an app that didn't close properly running wild.
