Windows 10 file explorer won't open from Settings>Personalisation

Hi
Can anyone help with an issue I'm having since upgrading from Windows 7?
I want to change the lock screen, desktop and user account images.
However, when I click on "browse" to try and choose an image, the file explorer window flashes up for a fraction of a second and then vanishes.
The settings window is then left completely unresponsive and can only be closed down from the task manager.
Getting very frustrated

how can may I open all my folders you remove Microsoft words in my computer, can you help me to open all my files in my
folders. and returned Microsoft words and excel. to my desk top thank you.
