Windows 10 Messaging app incredibly slow on Icon

Has anyone else who updated their Icon to Windows 10 Mobile (or any other Win 10 mobile user) noticed that the messaging app is very slow to send texts? I type a text and press the send button and then wait 10-15 seconds or more for the text to actually send. Are others seeing this? I've tried resets, but nothing seems to correct it.

I have this exact problem on a lumia 735 on verizon

I had a few lag issues with messaging and a few other apps right after I upgraded to 10. It seems to have pretty much gone away now.

I have the problem intermittently. It can be quite annoying. I wish I knew what the problem was.
