On which build are you? And which phone is that?
If it has this issue you described, I really doubt waiting for the next update, which could be in March, could help. It's not anything between soft reset or hard reset, that's just our hope that we won't have to do a hard reset, or use WDRT.
If you have phone which came with w10m, then I would recommend using WDRT without using any backup. If it is not the case, I would still recommend the same, but in that case that would be much more time consuming, so you may want to do a hard reset instead. But if that doesn't solve the issue, then you would have to do the WDRT thing, and you would feel like you have wasted some if your time.
Though that wouldn't be too much if your time since you could check how Edge works right after the hard reset.
And keep in mind, if you do a hard reset while on Anniversary Update, your Outlook calendar live tile will stop working.
