Windows 10 side loading apps

So I installed windows 10 in my old 820 and found that we can side load apps outside windows store. Is this a good or a bad thing?? Side loading apps will increase piracy of apps and other security risks.

It's done to make live "easier" for developers and Microsoft excepts the negative side.
