Windows 7 or 8 games on Windows 10

Would our games or save data work on W10 or do we have to buy the games from new and start a new save data?

I am running 10 and have a number of games from Steam, Arc and Origin on my PC. The only one that has given me any problems is Elite Dangerously where it blue screens my system. Other than that All the other games and their cloud saves work just fine.
