I saw a thread about using an old 620 as a media player, so it occurred to me that I should do the same thing since I' m going on holiday where I may not always have internet access. So I placed my 620 to roll back to WP8 from 8.1 so I could use that as my secondary device...only to be met with the clock watchdog timeout error halfway. Suffice to say, the phone is bricked. No gears, nothing. Paperweight,

Lol it was my thread. And I flashed wp8 with NSU (Nokia software updater for retail). If your phone is bricked, you can also recover it with Nsu. But u will get thelumia black with wp8 coz there is no Lumia cyan for 620

Nothing. No reaction at all

a what error?
That's a BSOD error message. Clock_Watchdog_Timeout_Windows_8.png

It has most likely nothing to do with Windows 8. It's either the processor or the drivers. If you overclocked your CPU, that is more than likely what killed your Lumia.

lyubomeer didn't say its guaranteed on all OC PCs, he said it could be the cause of this specific error.

Well, I had pretty much different BSODs when I was playing with OC, but not this one.

As far as I found, it's probably a hardware BSOD, thus need to replace some PC component, so check the minidump file.

If you're getting a BSOD due to an overclock, it's unstable. Plain and simple. Your secondary processor wasn't responding and your PC had to shut down because of that.

Now if it's not an overclock issue, it's likely something else CPU related, such as incorrect BIOS configuration.

So , what about your lumia ,can you recover it with NSU , or is it non detectable by a pc ?

Or Nokia Software Recovery Tool, there's an option to flash unresponsive devices. NSU didn't work for me when I flashed my 1020 but the recovery tool did.
